Wondering if you have a water problem? Sometimes tap water is deemed safe to drink, although, there may still be minerals, chemicals, and contaminants present. In some cases, pollutants are picked up during water transport and infiltrate water before it reaches the tap.
We provide water quality testing. In order to provide the best solution for your specific area, we will need to test for the following :
- Water pH
- Pinpoints pollutants
- Helps us recommend the proper water treatment systems
Whether there’s a scaly buildup in your bathroom or you’re worried about contaminants, contact our team of water treatment specialists.
Bad water quality can affect your pipes and plumbing fixtures. Our water quality testing will help with the following:
- Pinpointing pipe problems. Aging, deteriorating pipes may cause contaminants to seep into drinking water. If you live in an older home with vintage pipes, water quality testing is wise.
- Minimizing plumbing problems. Mineral and sediment buildup in your pipe is a result of hard water, too. Over time, this buildup restricts water flow, decreases appliance life and leads to frequent plumbing repairs.
If your home suffers from hard water, you may see limescale on sinks and fixtures or clothing that yellows prematurely.
- Handling hard water: Some hard water problems cause dull hair and dry or itchy skin. Customized water treatment by our tap water quality specialists can address these issues.
- Conditioned Water: A water test reveals what type of conditioning system can address high mineral content. Conditioned water helps eliminate hard-to-clean limescale on faucets, toilets, sinks, and other fixtures. (In rare cases, water may be too soft—which can also be corrected with a conditioning system.)
Our water quality testing delivers peace of mind to homeowners. Some “nuisance” contaminants may not cause health issues, while others could have adverse effects in certain individuals.
During these checks we look for:
- Bacteria
- Lead and other metals
- Nitrites and nitrates
- Chlorine
- pH and
- Water hardness
When it comes to the taste, smell and quality of your water, count on us to go the extra mile to assure your top water is optimally filtered and conditioned.
How do I know what solution is right for me?
Recommending a proper solution starts with a water analysis. Your Plumbing Professional can have the labs test your water for:
- Hardness
- Iron
- Manganese
- pH
- Total Dissolved Solids (TDS)
- Tannins
Our water treatment specialists will recommend a solution based on your analysis.
Your water treatment specialist will have a portable test kit that will allow them to perform an on-site test.
If you have concerns about the safety (potability) of your water supply we recommend a complete water analysis be conducted. Bacteria tests are usually conducted at a Provincial Lab or Local Health Department.
